What happens when you invite the world's best snowboarders to be part of a Street Jam in the heart of the Alps? This is the question Ethan Morgan together with Thomas Baumann (Monster Energy) & Chris McAlpine (Method Mag) wanted to answer for the second time. The result: 3 days of heavy bangers like Innsbruck and everyone who followed the event on social media has never seen before!
The DIYX STRT Jam attracted international names like Zeb Powell, Zak Hale, Fridtjof "Fridge" Tischendorf & many more. True to the motto "Just Have Fun", the event developed into a jam unlike any other. Far away from the classic contest atmosphere, there was a lot of tricks and each of the riders showed pure creativity and mental tricks.
Method Movie Night
At the Method Movie Night on Thursday, November 17th, not only the newest movies from the snowboard scene were shown. It was a big get-together of all riders, which brought together with the cinema visitors a great atmosphere in the Metropol Multiplex, in Innsbruck. The vibe for the weekend & the upcoming Street Jam was set!
STRT Jam Day 1
First day, on Thursday the 17th of November it was time for the DIYX STRT Jam to start into the first round. At the Rum Plaza in Innsbruck, no stone was left unturned. From a massive rail to rainbow railsand many more technical obstacles, everything was really there. "A Day to remember".
STRT Jam Day 2
At the Tivoli Stadium in Innsbruck the first hangover was cured. ethan Morgan celebrated the funeral of his car, set the Ring of Fire on fire and gave the creativity of the riders complete freedom.
STRT Jam Day 3
"Welcome to Mayhem" probably describes the third spot & third day of the DIYX STRT Jam best. Every single person who arrived at the spot at Höttinger Schule in Innsbruck had big eyes and most likely wondered if the whole thing could really be real. The atmosphere at the spot & the tricks were a crowning finale for a more than successful event!
