In the backcountry, an airbag backpack is a great extra to your avalanche equipment that you don't want to miss. But an airbag backpack is not really cheap and you need a different backpack depending on your plan: a big one for long tours, but then it' s too big for a normal freeride day. And a small one for powder days in the resort, which is too small for a tour. How about an airbag system that can be quickly and easily moved to another backpack? This is exactly what the Mammut R.A.S system is. The Line R.A.S. Protector 22L is compatible to this system, has an additional light, flexible back protector, lots of compartments and features and with 22 litres it is ideal for freeride days and small hikes.
