Product description
Freestyle and all-mountain snowboard for beginners and intermediates
The Nidecker Astral is an excellent choice for beginner to intermediate riders. It provides great edge hold on groomers, float in powder, and a forgiving flex for freestyle riding all throughout the resort. With its soft flex pattern, the board suits all skill levels, allowing smooth transitions without the risk of catching an edge, even at higher speeds.
Riding Style
An all-mountain/freestyle board for beginners and riders returning to the snow after a longer break. Carving on groomers, powder runs, or getting creative from the park to the parking lot—this board is built for good times.
Shape
The Astral's directional twin shape makes it incredibly easy to control, ensuring effortless first turns. The setback stance moves the bindings toward the tail, extending the nose for better float in powder. Despite this, the symmetrical design of the nose and tail allows for easy switch-riding.
Profile
The CamRock profile combines a traditional camber between the bindings with a smooth rocker in the nose and tail. This versatile profile provides precision and pop for park and groomers and excellent float in powder.
Flex
The soft flex enables effortless turns and ensures a fun, comfortable ride through any terrain—a park, powder, groomers, or the trails in between.
Construction
The Master Wood Core, made of poplar and paulownia, delivers durability, flex, and pop. Nidecker's premium sandwich construction, reinforced with carbon inlays, adds pop and responsiveness. The N-5000 Universal Base is durable, user-friendly, and provides excellent glide without frequent waxing.

Snowboards are usually delivered ready-to-ride with a waxed base and sharpened edges. However, this so-called factory-tuning is not very durable and your new snowboard should be properly waxed after a few days and maintained on a regular basis.
