    Product description

Unstoppable Park Performance in the Matej Svancer Edition

Matěj Švancer is a Blue Tomato and Faction team rider. He is a true prodigy who has shown remarkable results at a young age, including a gold medal at the Youth Olympics. This version of the Faction Prodigy reflects Matěj's distinctive style.

The Prodigy 1 has the same shape as the Prodigy 2 but is 10 mm narrower. This ensures precise control and excellent edge grip in the park and on the piste. The construction is designed for heavy use in the park. The poplar core is reinforced with robust ash wood, the anti-chip micro-cap construction protects against chipping at the tip and tail, and the XL 2.5mm edges are 20 % thicker than the industry standard. It's an excellent ski for every park shredder.

    Riding Style
An all-mountain freestyle/park ski for advanced shredders. This ski has all the features you need as an ambitious park rider. The directional twin shape makes this ski versatile, perfect for freestyle riding all over the mountain.

    Shape
This ski has a directional twin shape, with the nose being a few millimetres wider than the tail and a centred binding position. Thanks to the slightly wider nose, it gives you the same riding characteristics forward and switch but with more float in soft snow and powder.

    Profile
This ski has classic camber underfoot and an even rocker in the tip and tail. This profile is great for all terrains: precision and pop for park and piste, good float in soft snow. The rocker in the nose and tail also creates a catch-free, playful feel.

    Flex
The medium-stiff flex provides precise control at high speeds with high responsiveness.

    Construction
The poplar/ash core offers a vibration-free ride on hard snow, a solid base for tough landings, and more than enough pop and flex for creativity. The extra-thick XL 2.5 mm edges are designed for heavy use on rails, boxes, and ledges. The micro-cap construction is a hybrid of high-quality sandwich and durable cap construction. This protects vulnerable areas of the ski that are prone to chipping.

    More information

Subject to alterations according to the manufacturer. Image is non-binding.

Freeskis are usually delivered ready-to-ride with a waxed base and sharpened edges. However, this so-called factory-tuning is not very durable and your new skis should be properly waxed after a few days and maintained on a regular basis.

    About Faction

Faction started out as a fun project for a group of shred happy ski bums in Verbier one winter. The group wanted to create skis that were affordable, could last 100+ days, survive without servicing and could be stowed away over summer and shine just as brightly once winter rolled around. Doing just that, they have seen great success over the last 12 years. They are united in their love for the mountains and the tools that allow them, us and you to escape there.
