First of all, Grizzly has a fantastic story as a brand. Torey Pudwill began the hip griptape company at the tender age of twelve. It wasn't actually griptape which was the first product of Grizzly but rather skate wax. Torey used a baking mould from his mother which was coincidently the shape of a grizzly bear. Voila! An iconic, recognisable logo was born. Early on, Torey focused exclusively on his career as a professional skateboarder. It was only later when he turned nineteen that Torey refocused his efforts on Grizzly Griptape. The business was built on pure passion for skating – with a little help from the Diamond Supply Co. With this new urgency, the little grizzly bears grew into a big player.
The Grizzly Griptape team has some of the very biggest names in skating. Pros like Shane O'Neill , Ryan Sheckler and Paul Rodriquez are just a few to name. The grizzly team is one of the most talented ever assembled for skating. With all of these skate legends on board, you've really got to ask yourself: Who could test griptape better?
Grizzly also manufacturers An extensive range of streetwear. There are Grizzly t-shirts , tanktops and even button-ups in a variety of different colours and styles – depending on your style when you're skating. The company also makes jackets and sweaters which are both comfortable and stylish.
