THE YELLOW BOOT. TIMBERLAND'S CONQUEST OF THE OUTDOOR WORLD

It was a combination of craftsmanship and American ingenuity that produced a very special shoe in 1973: The Timberland. Made for forests and meadows, for the great outdoors and outdoor adventurers. This waterproof, honey-coloured boot was so well received that the Stratham, New Hampshire-based company was renamed The Timberland Company . Since then, Timberland's Yellow Boot has come to be considered a premium shoe among its peers and an inspiration for subsequent boots.

TIMBALAND WEARS TIMBERLAND

The leather boots gained cult status when they became part of the 1990's hip-hop scene and urban culture. Rapper and music producer Timbaland even named himself after the iconic leather boats with the branded logo . Meanwhile, they were made available in numerous colours and designs, yet one thing remained the same: the robustness of these durable boots.

FOR A STRONG STEP

Bad weather? It's a foreign concept for Timberland. Quadruple stitched, the shaft is welded to the rubber sole, equipped with a special support plate and lined with soft glove leather – even the laces remain dry and comfortable . Into nature! At Blue Tomato, Timberland Boots are an integral part of the (wet) cold season range. Among them, the classics include the 6-inch premium boots for men . They are made of full-grain nubuck leather , while the collar is padded with a double foam layer and the anti-fatigue foot bed guarantees optimal grip .

FOR NATURE'S SAKE

Think green . This motto is just as much a part of making Timberland Boots as the premium leather itself. In 2015, one million pounds of recycled PET and 379 tonnes of recycled rubber , 98 percent of which was PVC-free , were used in manufacturing the shoes. In addition, since 2001, the US company has planted 8.7 million trees worldwide.
