Product description
You only turn 30 once!
It's our birthday and as everyone knows, you only turn 30 once! That's why we collaborated with Burton we brought a real delicacy for you.
Blue Tomato founder Gerfried Schuller liked to rides with the Burton Safari during his active time. In the 90s he could celebrate many successes with this snowboard. In honour of him and in memory of this great time we designed the Burton X Blue Tomato Safari Deep Thinker in the 90s Safari look again.
Blue Tomato Specials
Colour design in Top Sheet in Blue Tomato colours as well as lettering at the base with blue raised letters BT... Each board comes with a Blue Tomato Team Sticker for your individual design.
Riding Style
The Safari Deep Thinker is aimed at advanced and experienced riders who are often in the park and on the slopes but are also always available for a side trip into the Pow.
With Burton's signature Frostbite edges, this board gives you enough grip on icy slopes and its flex offers enough pop for action in the park. The board shows its true strength during deep carves and turns.
Shape
With the Directional Shape, the nose is slightly longer than the tail. A backward offset sidecut, flex as well and a setback gives the board more manoeuvrability, stability and buoyancy. With this shape, you can ride on all terrains without any problems. The 7 mm taper ensures smooth turns, stability at higher speeds and better float in deep snow.
Pro-Tip®, a bevelled outline at the tip and tail, reduces the swing weight for easier mobility.
Profile
The directional camber provides a rocker at the nose, lifting it up and giving you more buoyancy in the powder. The camber provides stability and control under your binding.
Flex
The stiffer Directional Flex offers plenty of pop in the tail and a robust nose, making it easier for riders to maintain control in all terrain shapes and conditions.
Construction
The FSC® Certified Super Fly II® 700G Core with lighter wood at special zones offers stability and reduced weight. The Dualzone® EGD® design positions the wood grain along the toe and heel edges of two zones perpendicular to the rest of the core for consistent edge grip and durability. Also, Frostbite edges offer incredible control in hard and icy conditions.
The Squeezebox improves pop and performance by balancing thick, strong and thin, flexible areas. The rider's energy is transferred from below his feet to the outside, activating the tip and tail and making the board more swinging and easier to control. The 45° carbon highlights improve the fibreglass matrix and add a continuous carbon layer to reduce weight and improve the torsion feel. Super Sap® is a biologically engineered resin that reduces the carbon balance by 50% compared to conventional petroleum-based epoxy resins.
The sintered WFO Base is an extremely robust base.
The Channel® is compatible with all common bindings and gives you ultimate control over your stance.

Snowboards are usually delivered ready-to-ride with a waxed base and sharpened edges. However, this so-called factory-tuning is not very durable and your new snowboard should be properly waxed after a few days and maintained on a regular basis.
