Product description
The new all-mountain weapon in the K2 range
The Gateway Pop is a highly responsive version of the Gateway snowboard. It's ideal for intermediate to advanced riders to explore the entire mountain while also hitting freestyle features here and there. It has an easy-to-maintain yet fast base, and its forgiving Directional Combination Camber profile, along with a predictable Aspen core, provides a pure all-mountain experience.
Riding style
The Gateway Pop is the perfect all-mountain board for anyone who wants to combine piste, park, and powder.
Shape
The directional shape offers a longer nose than tail, which provides stability at higher speeds and buoyancy in powder—the classic snowboard shape.
Profile
The Directional Combination Camber blends the best of two worlds. The long rocker at the nose provides massive uplift in deep snow. The camber between the bindings delivers control, stability, and a reactive ride. The shape is rounded off with a short rocker in the tail, which keeps the board playful and agile.
Flex
The medium flex is ideal for the all-mountain design of this board. Stable enough for powerful turns but still soft enough for a playful ride
Construction
The classic Aspen Core offers a constant flex and pleasant response. The ICG™ 10 biaxial glass increases stability, and you enjoy plenty of pop. K2 uses an easy-to-maintain, hard, extruded base on the Gateway Pop. It stays fast throughout the season and does not need to be waxed differently for every condition.

Snowboards are usually delivered ready-to-ride with a waxed base and sharpened edges. However, this so-called factory-tuning is not very durable and your new snowboard should be properly waxed after a few days and maintained on a regular basis.
