Product description
Revolutionary new asymmetrical ski from the mind of Pep Fujas
The new Marksman from K2 is a revolutionary ski which opens up new possibilities and perspectives on riding. A new playful all mountain freeride ski which features a unique asymmetrical tip and tail design which allows for buttering ground spins and great performance cutting through soft snow. As a replacement for the Shredditor series, The Marksman with its waist width, rocker and tips is comfortable skiing everywhere.
Riding Style
The Marksman is designed by Pep Fujas, one of the legends of modern skiing, who has during his career, skied from the park to the huge spines of Alaska. As a result, the Marksman is the most versatile ski in k2's range, happy skiing all over the mountain, park to powder.
Shape
The shape of the Marksman is really what makes the ski stand out. Taking inspiration from surfboards and snowboards with an asymmetrical tip and tail design, the ski features a longer inside ski edge for control and edge hold and an oversized tapered outside ski edge which is perfect for longer surfy turns in powder. All of this culminates in the unique looking tips which also perform brilliantly buttering and sliding in the in park or powder.
Profile
The Marksman uses K2's All-Terrain Rocker which is a medium rocker which gives floatation in powder but also combined with camber and the unique shape ensures that the ski can hold a grip in steeper terrain or when you're hammering it.
Flex
The Marksman has a medium-soft flex, perfect for all conditions.
Construction
The K2 factory teams use the double barrel core, which uses two kinds of wood, a high-density fir at the edges for durability and edge hold with a lower density aspen in the centre of the ski for lightness and quickness. This new core design is boosted by K2's triaxial braid for torsional rigidity and TwinTech sidewalls K2's signature level of high durability.

Freeskis are usually delivered ready-to-ride with a waxed base and sharpened edges. However, this so-called factory-tuning is not very durable and your new skis should be properly waxed after a few days and maintained on a regular basis.
