Product description
POWDER, SPEED AND CONTROL FOR FAST TURNS, POWDER RUNS AND BACKCOUNTRY KICKERS
The Super 8 Pro comes with a Backseat Camber profile that puts power and control under your rear foot, whether you're ripping through powder or making turns on groomed slopes. High-quality materials, perfectly matched to each other, make this board an all-mountain weapon for all riders who simply expect more from their board.
This board has power, speed and control and should not be missing in any equipment.
Riding style
High-performance all-mountain freeride. This board offers absolute stability and performance for fast turns, powder runs and backcountry kickers.
Shape
The tapered directional shape ensures float for trips out into the powder, offers stability and control and guarantees pop. The taper means the nose is wider than the tail and promotes smooth turn entry and exit, stability at speed and enhanced deep snow flotation. The larger volume in the front area allows you to make effortless turns in deep and soft snow and increases the float enormously. The Quadratic Sidecut allows smooth edge changes, effortless direction changes and easy initiation of turns.
Profile
The Backseat Camber profile combines a classic camber under the rear foot for explosive turns, while the flat area under the forefoot provides fun and buoyancy in powder snow. The best of both worlds without annoying vibrations.
Flex
The flex is slightly harder for an agile, reactive board. This makes it stiff enough to keep control on steep powder slopes and big kickers but still has enough flex for long-drawn powder butters.
Construction
The sintered Area 51 Base is not only fast, it also keeps the speed for a longer time and is robust. Salomon increases the natural snap and pop of wood with the Popster core profile. It feels like your skateboard kicktail is finally connected to your snowboard. Basalt Stringer are sewn into a Triax layer and ensure long-lasting pop, control and cushioning at high speeds as well as good manoeuvrability when you're taking it easier. For the Aspen SLCT core, each strip of FSC-certified wood is selected by hand to ensure the highest quality and lightness for the core. In the all-mountain edge bevel, tip and tail are detuned in the key areas of the sidecut by 1 degrees with a 2 degree bevel between the feet. This provides stable edge hold without tilting.

Snowboards are usually delivered ready-to-ride with a waxed base and sharpened edges. However, this so-called factory-tuning is not very durable and your new snowboard should be properly waxed after a few days and maintained on a regular basis.
