“Sariri” explores the fascination that mountains exert on people, as well as the spiritual significance these towering clouds of stone, snow, and ice can hold. The film consciously includes the local population by having two of the main characters come from the Andes, sharing their perspectives on the mountains.

A rather unlikely combination of a snowboarder and a skier making the mountains their playground. Two best friends who should be natural enemies on snow create an amazing symbiosis almost like a dance between skiing and snowboarding. Massive skills and loads of fun topped by specially produced music by a local hiphop artist.

Chris Rubens was living his absolute dream. As a freeride pro, he jetted around the globe – always on the move with large production crews, heliskiing, and chasing the big lines. On an expedition to Greenland, a climate researcher accompanies the team to alleviate their guilt of burning fossil fuels to ski there. It was during the tour of this movie that Chris decided he needed to change more than just making a movie about climate change.

risk‘n‘fun - FREERIDE STARTER WORKSHOPS
We're rocking the season again this year: the risk'n'fun FREERIDE - Blue Tomato training programme and the Freeride Film Festival are kicking off the winter together. From Thursday, 7th November the FREERIDE FILM FESTIVAL tour bus will be travelling through Austria, Germany and Switzerland.
The Freeride Starter Workshops are free, the training with our risk'n'fun trainers will start two hours before the screening in each cinema.
