Anna Gasser is a legend in women snowboarding, pushing boundaries further than anyone could have ever expected and changing the way women snowboarding is perceived. We at Blue Tomato are more than proud to already have her on our team for more than 10 years. She keeps dazzling us with new achievements, one of them being this; Her newly released documentary.
While Anna has spent most of her early years as a gymnast, she knew it from the first time she stood on a snowboard: She loves this sport. Anna only started snowboarding when she was 18, but now, 12 years later she has many prestigious awards and tricks no women has ever landed before in her pocket. At Stubai's Prime Park, Anna Gasser landed the first cab triple underflip by a women, only nine years after the beginning of her snowboarding career. The snowboarder opened up a whole new world for female snowboarders, as Jamie Anderson states "I definetely never thought women would be doing triples."

If you think she did not go on to top herself again, you're dead wrong: In 2018 at the Winter Olympics Anna Gasser won gold by putting down a cab double 10. And even if she did not land the first women's triple underflip at the 2020 Winter XGames in Aspen, she showed her strong dedication. While the passionate snowboarder is definitely a fighter, she stands out with her calmness and smart strategizing.
Anna is always seeking to improve and to grow, for her continous outstanding performance, she has been awarded the Espy award, Austrian sportswoman of the year, Transworld Women's "Rider of the Year" and the Women's "Readers Choice" Award.
The Spark Within - Movie Premiere
Anna Gasser is bringing something special to the world of pro snowboarding, some would call it a spark within herself to constantly improve, fueled by the love for the sport. The Spark Within takes you on an intimate behind the scenes journey of Anna's life as an athlete, but also her life while being on the go for 300 days a year, her ups and downs, the struggle with injuries, her family and origins and much more. The documentary, which has been produced over a period of three years, will now be released on 12th of November at the Apollo Kino in Vienna and on 12th of November at Cineplexx in Innsbruck . A unique chance to dive into the life behind one of the most progressive female snowboarders of history.
