Product description
The legendary freeride machine by Jones Snowboards
There are snowboards that don't really need much more of an introduction. Just like the Jones Flagship. This board speaks for itself and is, not without reason, the bedrock of the Jones snowboards. The Flagship has already won many awards, and rightly so. Technical terrain and steep faces are where it feels right at home. The freeride board floats and puts an even bigger smile on your face during every powder day.
Riding style
This snowboard was designed to set new freeride standards.
Shape
The Flagship comes with a tapered directional shape that makes high speeds super easy and offers you a good lift. A directional shape is the classic, most versatile snowboard shape. The pop is concentrated in the tail and provides ample float and control in all terrain and snow conditions. Taper means a narrower tail than nose that offers you more lift in deep snow. In powder, less snow is carried backwards over the sides of the nose via the blunt nose, which in turn provides more lift. This gives you all the advantages of a traditional nose and also saves weight. Traction Tech 3.0, the corrugated edge, ensures the best edge hold in all conditions. At the ends of the progressive waist, the radius is gradually increased until the edges reach the contact points. Gradually increase the radius towards the contact point for a smoother turn initiation. This waist thereby offers a less abrupt transition into the snow.
Profile
The Directional Rocker consists of a camber between the bindings and a larger rocker at the nose than at the tail. This keeps the board extremely manoeuvrable in pow and gives it additional buoyancy. The camber offers you good edge hold and fast power transmission. The slightly rockered tail increases power transmission and stability. In addition, the chance of tipping during switch landing is reduced.
The freeride-focused 3D Base Contour 3.0 comes with a balanced 7 mm upturn in nose and tail. The bending up of the base starts at the rocker.
Flex
With the Flagship's stiff flex (8/10), you can easily handle high-speed runs and enjoy an exceptionally precise feel.
Construction
The FSC™ Power Core is a triple-density premium solid wood core with bamboo stringers for pop and durability and paulownia for weight savings. The Sustainable Flax/Basalt Stringers are made from 100 % natural fibres. The composite flax and basalt stringer improves power transmission to the edges, torsional response and provides a smoother run. Triax fibreglass provides a precise feel in all snow conditions. Super Sap Bio Resin is plant-based and is used instead of petroleum-based epoxy. The new FSC™ Engineered Veneer Topsheets cushion and absorb shocks. The sintered 9900 base is made of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMW-PE) and carbon. This ultra-fast covering is easy to repair. Jones boards are made with oversized recycled steel edges for added durability and improved sustainable production. The ABS in the sidewalls is made from 100 % recycled materials. The Flagship has also been fitted with Float Pack inserts for a super setback stance on deep days.

Snowboards are usually delivered ready-to-ride with a waxed base and sharpened edges. However, this so-called factory-tuning is not very durable and your new snowboard should be properly waxed after a few days and maintained on a regular basis.
