Located in the heart of the skateboarding district in Berlin-Friedrichshain close to Warschauer Straße the skate hall extends over a 1.200 m² concrete streetcourse and a 400 m² bowl and miniramp area. Additionally, the area includes a the Skatehalle-Café, the SBH-Bar and a big 2.700m² outdoor area which also hosts an outdoor cinema during the summer. As if this wasn’t enough, the skate hall has its own skate shop with a rental station.
Since the 1st of July 2020 the Skatehall Berlin is run by Skate RAW GmbH which is a non-profit organization - from skaters for skaters. They introduced a whole new concept which focusses on the skateboarding subculture and keeps the vibe as authentic, transparent and inclusive as possible to become a place for sports, art, music, social and youth work.
A variety of events ranging from internationally renowned skateboard contests to local events are hosted regularly at the skate hall, which bring the whole skate community together. Different Skateboard workshops and classes like trial sessions, beginner and holiday workshops, private classes to name just a few are being offered as well. Everyone is welcome to participate.
