Product description
Your new favourite snowboard for all conditions
The boards of the Directors series are a combination of surf- and skate inspired shapes created by surfboard shaper and snowboard enthusiast Doug Moreau.
The Trooper should be ridden slightly shorter than your normal board size, as the generous waist will accommodate your boot and binding. The Phonon topsheet increases responsiveness and pop, while the tapered pintail shape makes the Trooper nimble, versatile and fun to ride in any terrain.
Riding Style
An all-mountain / freeride board for advanced riders. Highly versatile, with top performance for high-speed turns on the slopes to deep powder in the backcountry.
Shape
The tapered directional shape has a slightly wider nose than tail. The bindings are set back slightly. This increases stability at higher speeds and flotation in powder.
Profile
The Hover Camber profile combines a camber between the bindings and a large rocker in the nose. This ensures that the board remains extremely manoeuvrable in pow and provides plenty of flotation. The camber offers good edge hold and fast power transmission.
Flex
The medium flex makes the board stiff enough for powerful turns and soft enough for a playful ride.
Construction
The poplar / paulownia core with birch wood is very light, strong and flexible. Phonon is a pre-tensioned fibreglass topsheet that provides an elastic energy build-up when the board flexes. The result is a super light, powerful and reactive ride.

Snowboards are usually delivered ready-to-ride with a waxed base and sharpened edges. However, this so-called factory-tuning is not very durable and your new snowboard should be properly waxed after a few days and maintained on a regular basis.
