Movie Selection:

STASIS / USA

a film by Griffin Glendinning

Athlete: Svea Irving

Moments of absolute stillness. In Starsis, Ski-Pro Svea Irving is exploring her deep connection to nature and passion for skiing. In a state of constant motion, she finds balance, flowing seamlessly with the elements. A film that allows your subconscious to wander. Director Griffin Glendinning created a 16mm journey to free the mind to explore and drift through the harmony of movement and nature.

THE RED FACE ZONE / IT

a film by Weger Brothers, directed by Marco Tribelhorn

Athletes: Matthias and Jakob Weger

Ever had a day that needed a remedy? Enter „The Red Face Zone“ – a therapeutic ride down the steepest and narrowest lines nature can offer, turning frustration into exhilaration. An ironic and arty touched movie about a zone with the steepest and narrowest lines in the Dolomites.

SARIRI / AT

a film by Mountain Tribe, directed by Paul Schweller

Athletes: Andri Bieger, Martin Kogler, Valentin Werner-Tutschku, Javier Christian Diaz, Sergio Condori Vallejo

“Sariri” explores the fascination that mountains exert on people, as well as the spiritual significance these towering clouds of stone, snow, and ice can hold. The film consciously includes the local population by having two of the main characters come from the Andes, sharing their perspectives on the mountains.

SCURRARI / AT

a film by Timm Schröder

Athletes: Timm Schröder and Dino Flatz

A rather unlikely combination of a snowboarder and a skier making the mountains their playground. Two best friends who should be natural enemies on snow create an amazing symbiosis almost like a dance between skiing and snowboarding. Massive skills and loads of fun topped by specially produced music by a local hiphop artist.

FARMING TURNS / CAN

a film by Chris Rubens, directed by Anthony Bonello

Athletes: Chris Rubens, Jesse Johnston-Hill, Huxley Rubens

Chris Rubens was living his absolute dream. As a freeride pro, he jetted around the globe – always on the move with large production crews, heliskiing, and chasing the big lines. On an expedition to Greenland, a climate researcher accompanies the team to alleviate their guilt of burning fossil fuels to ski there. It was during the tour of this movie that Chris decided he needed to change more than just making a movie about climate change.
