Product description
The specialist for long distance touring
The lightweight Nocturne 88 is ideal for long-distance touring. It features slightly rockered tails and a more progressive mount point than a typical mountaineering ski, enabling a freeride-focused approach to technical terrain. The aluminum tail block shape easily penetrates stubborn snowpacks on a techy skin track or when you’re setting up a ski anchor.
Riding Style
A touring ski for advanced riders. This ski has been designed for all kinds of ski touring. Robust, lightweight and manoeuvrable - perfect for exploring untouched terrain or for touring at the resort.
Shape
The directional shape has a slightly wider nose than tail. The binding and sidecut are set back slightly. This increases stability at higher speeds and flotation in soft snow.
Profile
This ski features a classic camber under the binding, a rocker area in the tip and a smaller rocker in the tail. The rockered nose improves manoeuvrability and floatation, while the camber underfoot provides edge hold and response for firm snow.
Construction
AlgalTech™ materials take novel biobased materials derived from microalgae, designed from the ground up, to create superior performance. The Algal Core is a vertically laminated composite of biobased high density polyurethane and domestically sourced aspen. Algal Wall is a biobased cast polyurethane sidewall that protects the Algal Core and delivers better damping than a traditional, petroleum-based ABS sidewall. The SpiralMade™ boot plate and insert pack outperform traditional maple in pullout strength testing, resulting in greater durability and binding retention.

Freeskis are usually delivered ready-to-ride with a waxed base and sharpened edges. However, this so-called factory-tuning is not very durable and your new skis should be properly waxed after a few days and maintained on a regular basis.
