    Product description

Very wide freeride board from Amplid

With the Big Kahuna, toe and heel drags are a thing of the past. With a centre width of 27.6 cm, you no longer have to tweak your stance or think about riser pads. You mount your binding exactly the way you want - even with big feet.
The elliptical nose shape, combined with the taper and swallow tail, provides plenty of float, while the kick in the tail still lets you land switch with ease.
    A true freeride machine.

    Riding style
The Big Kahuna is an all-mountain board with no limits. It masters any terrain and, especially for riders with big feet, causes shouts of joy in the powder and at Euro Carves.

    Shape
The Tapered Directional Shape is the classic, most versatile snowboard shape. The pop is concentrated in the tail and provides ample float and control in all terrain and snow conditions. Taper means a narrower tail than nose, this provides more float in deep snow. In addition, the Swallow Tail provides even more sink in the rear area, which lifts the nose out of the snow a bit more.

    Profile
The Cruise Camber with Early Rise consists of a slight camber between the legs and a larger rocker at the nose. This keeps the board extremely manoeuvrable in pow and gives it additional buoyancy. The camber offers you good edge hold and fast power transmission. .

    Flex
The medium flex combines response and playfulness.

    Construction
The heart of the Big Kahuna is the lightweight Omni Core made of different types of wood. This core has been optimised so many times that Amplid has now found the perfect blend - in any case for the Big Kahuna. The Carbon Pop Band runs through the centreline and increases pop from tip to tail without creating unwanted torsional stiffness. Floatation Tips create incredible uplift in powder, while the sintered 7 Base provides the necessary speed. The construction is rounded off with HEXO2 LITE, which takes some of the swing weight off you, especially when spinning, and thus offers more control.

Snowboards are usually delivered ready-to-ride with a waxed base and sharpened edges. However, this so-called factory-tuning is not very durable and your new snowboard should be properly waxed after a few days and maintained on a regular basis.
