Product description
Powder, tight turns and an explosive ride: the Hovercraft 2.0
The Hovercraft is a versatile all-terrain Snowboard made for slashing pow, bombing chutes and slaloming trees. Featuring a tapered directional shape and a long sidecut, it charges in any condition and offers surprisingly diverse performance for its compact size. This is a nimble and explosive board that will let you tour and ride in deep pow all day without burning out your back leg.
Riding Style
The good times never stop with the Hovercraft 2.0. Powder, tight tree runs, chutes and, above all, fun are the top priorities here.
Shape
The Tapered Directional Shape is the classic, most versatile snowboard shape. The pop is concentrated in the tail and provides ample float and control in all terrain and snow conditions. Taper means a narrower tail than the nose, and this provides more floatation. In deep snow, you'll enjoy less snow being carried back over the sides of the nose thanks to the Blunt Nose. This means you get the benefits of a longer traditional nose without the extra weight. Traction Tech 1.0, the corrugated edge, ensures the best grip in all snow conditions.
Profile
The Directional Rocker consists of a camber between the bindings and a larger rocker at the nose than at the tail. This keeps the board extremely manoeuvrable in pow and gives it additional buoyancy. The camber offers great edge hold and fast power transmission. The slightly rockered tail increases playfulness. The freeride-focused 3D Base Contour 3.0 comes with a balanced 7 mm upturn in the nose and tail. The upward bend commences at the rocker.
Flex
The medium flex combines response and playfulness.
Construction
The Reclaimed Core is a high-performance poplar paulownia wood core featuring specially positioned embedded stringers made from reclaimed snowboards. The biax fibreglass provides a forgiving, playful ride. Bio resin is plant-based and is used instead of petroleum-based epoxy, making production a little more environmentally friendly. The material of the sintered 8000 Base is made of UHMW-PE and carbon. It is fast, easy to repair and absorbs wax excellently. Jones boards are made with oversized recycled steel edges for added durability and improved sustainable production. The rubber for cushioning the edges and the ABS in the sidewalls is made from 100 % recycled materials. All Jones boards are 'ready to shred' and are waxed at the factory with natural WEND wax, as well as slightly rounded at the tip and tail to be ready to go on the mountain right after the shop. For a higher material yield, Jones swaps the colours of the base, reducing waste generated in production.

Snowboards are usually delivered ready-to-ride with a waxed base and sharpened edges. However, this so-called factory-tuning is not very durable and your new snowboard should be properly waxed after a few days and maintained on a regular basis.
