The Blue Tomato Snowboard School is the first choice when it comes to snowboarding. Since the founding in 1988 a lot has changed - but our spirit and the drive to pass on the passion for snowboarding has remained.

Whether you want to start with the basics, land your first tricks or just want to snowboard with like-minded people - our trained snowboard instructors and the latest equipment guarantee quick learning success. The Blue Tomato Snowboard School offers half-day courses, full-day courses and private lessons for beginners, advanced and freestyle courses. The full day courses take place with supervised lunch break. For all courses we offer a free transfer from your accommodation to the Blue Tomato Snowboard School in Obertauern and back. For families we have a special offer: if two children take part, we offer a 15% discount on the second course and also for each additional course.

Rental

In the rental center in the Blue Tomato Shop Obertauern and in the snowboard school, the latest boards, boots and bindings are ready for you to test. Freeride and backcountry should not be neglected in Obertauern, so you can also rent complete equipment with splitboard, snowshoes, avalanche transceiver, probe, shovel, backpack and telescopic poles. You want to snowboard without a course? No problem - with our Rent Your Ride Service you can easily reserve your setup online, have it sent to your accommodation or even to your home.

Snowboarding in Obertauern

In Obertauern you will find simply everything: starting with ideal beginner slopes and leisurely descents to challenging off-piste and backcountry variations. With its many natural kickers and notorious cornices, Obertauern is an Eldorado for touring snowboarders. Above all, the certainty of snow makes Obertauern (1,700 - 2,700m) a particularly popular destination for winter sports enthusiasts of all levels and nations. Our beginner course takes place right next to the station and on the second day you can already take the chairlift up to the blue slopes. Advanced skiers are taken to the top by the sun lift, where they can enjoy the wide slopes of Obertauern. Especially recommended are the wide slopes at the Zehnerkar and the Seekareck. In the snowpark at the Kehrkopfbahn our freestyle courses take place. Here you can test your freestyle skills - of course with the support of our excellently trained snowboard instructors.
