Product description
Designed for the eye, built for creative powder runs
The Atomic Bent Chetler 120 is a great ski for skiing in deep powder. It is the widest ski in the Bent Chetler range and is best suited for steep terrain and deep powder. It is designed for experienced freeriders who want to land switch in deep snow, whether heli-skiing or in the remote backcountry. The Bent Chetler 120 delivers what is demanded of it without compromise. The skis were designed by Chris Benchetler and developed in collaboration with the Atomic Freeski Team.
Riding Style
A freeride/powder ski for experts. Shape, design, profile, and construction have been specially tuned to deliver the best performance in powder. Maximum float and maneuverability for the deepest snow, whether forward or switch, and flexible enough for creative freestyle rides.
Shape
This ski comes with a directional twin shape, the nose is a few millimeters wider than the tail, with a central binding position. This makes the Bent Chetler 120 suitable for forward and switch, but the slightly wider nose also gives you more float in deep snow.
Profile
The Powder Rocker profile combines a tip and tail rocker with a regular camber under the binding. This profile gives the ski a lot of pop and control. The rocker in the nose and tail makes the ski more forgiving and gives it an enormous float in deep snow.
Construction
The Dura Cap Sidewall construction offers controlled power transmission and excellent edge grip. The rounded shape makes the ski significantly more durable and less susceptible to scratches. The Light Woodcore is made of poplar wood. This wood core reduces weight, dampens vibrations, and ensures improved smoothness. The HRZN Tech in the tip and tail is reminiscent of the shape of a spoon. It increases the surface area of the ski ends by 10 % and ensures sensational lift and smoother shovels and ski ends. The Carbon Backbone is an ultra-light carbon insert from tip to tail. This improves edge grip and reduces weight at the same time.

Freeskis are usually delivered ready-to-ride with a waxed base and sharpened edges. However, this so-called factory-tuning is not very durable and your new skis should be properly waxed after a few days and maintained on a regular basis.
