    Product description

The master of turns in open terrain

With the Slash Vertical Split you have a highly technical splitboard under your feet that helps you shred steep, deep and challenging lines in difficult backcountry terrain. The 3D nose comes in combination with an additional set of float inserts and increases uplift in powder. Features like the S-Line Touring Edges make even difficult crossings child's play. The low overall weight benefits you on the ascent. Union Hooks & Clips Pro are used to make the board even more durable.

    Riding style
A splitboard for experienced touring and freeride adventurers. This board offers the necessary features for ascending untouched terrain. The shape and profile have been designed for best downhill performance. This board offers good edge hold and a lot of uplift in deep snow.

    Shape
The directional shape ensures uplift for trips out into the powder, offers stability and control and guarantees pop. The taper means the nose is wider than the tail and promotes smooth turn entry and exit, stability at speed and enhanced deep snow uplift. The larger volume in the front area allows you to make effortless turns in deep and soft snow and increases the float enormously. The subtle Ultimate Traction Bump in the centre of the sidecut provides better grip on hard snow.

    Profile
The traditional camber profile consists of one positive camber from nose to tail. This profile offers high stability, good edge control and plenty of pop. However, camber boards tend to catch edge more easily than other profiles.

    Flex
The medium flex is ideal for the design of this board. Hard enough for powerful turns but still soft enough for a playful ride

    Construction
The Pop Woodcore is made of poplar wood and reinforced with stringers made of beech wood. This ensures a low weight, a smooth flex and good power transmission. The sintered base is an industry standard for high-quality bases. It offers a good balance between the speed achieved by a hard base and good wax absorbance. Landing Strips made of Kevlar and carbon from the inserts to the tip and tail support you during landings, give you control at high speeds and have a damping effect. S-Line Split is a slightly serrated edge on the inside. It minimises shear forces on descents and provides more grip on icy climbs.
