With today’s fast-paced times of Instagram Reels, Tik Tok edits and single-trick-videos flooding your social media feeds, the good old times of full-length movies are dearly missed by lots of skateboarders out there! Do you remember waiting months or even years for the release of your idol’s new movie, get it on VHS from a guy whose brother knows your cousin, imported from the US, then playing your favourite part over and over again until the tape wore out…
Luckily enough, it’s way easier today to find the movie you are looking for, and many of the past’s classics are available for free to watch as well! They might not be 4K or even HD, but the parts and music are still iconic. We collected our (very subjective) Top 10 Skateboard full-length movies available online for free, so you can spend a whole day watching the classics. Enjoy!

Transworld Skateboarding’s „Video of the Year“ 2006 doesn’t suck for a single second, despite the name.

8: Red Bull: Perspective (2013)
Back in the days, skate videos were fast and raw. VX1000 was the camera to go and even today, lots of skaters tend to go back to that style of videography. Nevertheless, you can’t ignore the beauty and visual appeal of modern cameras such as the famous „Phantom“. Today it's normal cameras can film in high-speeds up to 1000 frames per second. These cameras can capture tricks in a formerly unseen way. Red Bull brought skateboarding and modern technology together to create „Perspectives“.

7: Girl: Yeah Right! (2003)
Hollywood-Style greenscreen magic, next-level skating and a combination of Girl and Chocolate Skateboards‘ finest made this flick iconic to its time! And that soundtrack… genius! Plus Owen Wilson. Need we say more?

At the part of the then 10-year-old Nyjah Huston, it becomes immediately apparent - the guys from Element always knew what they were doing.

This movie represents the skateboarding lifestyle as you imagine it - hard, raw and ruthless.
If you haven't seen this banger at least 100 times, you should watch it now!

Video Days is considered to be one of the most influential skate movies ever released. Director Spike Jonze’s approach to setting up a „storyline“ and introduce each rider has become the go-to format for skate movies from that time on. And we ALL know that intro song, thanks to EA for picking it up in the Skate 2 videogame.

2: Street Dreams (2009)
Technically not a skateboard movie, but a mainstream production (but produced by Rob Dyrdek), this movie features a load of skateboarding legends giving acting a try.

1: Fully Flared (2008)
One of the most iconic and probably expensive intros to a skateboard movie ever opens a packed lineup of legends and was awarded „Video of the Year“ 2008 by Transworld Skateboarding.
