Product description
The splitboard for the next generation
Early practice. It's the same with splitboarding. Why not start early? Is there anything better than enjoying the beauty and tranquillity of nature with your parents (or friends, of course) and then rewarding yourself with a powder run? Not really. That's why the Jones Solution all-terrain splitboard is also available for youngsters. The Jones Solution Youth comes with sophisticated features and provides backcountry fun for young shredders.
Riding style
With the Solution Youth, young shredders can experience the backcounty. The versatile All Terrain Splitboard offers the ideal introduction to the world of splitboarding.
Shape
The Youth Solution comes with a tapered directional shape that makes high speeds super easy and offers you good floatation. A directional shape is the classic, most versatile snowboard shape. The pop is concentrated in the tail and provides ample float and control in all terrain and snow conditions. Taper means a narrower tail than nose, this provides more floatation in deep snow as the tail can sink in more easily, lifting the nose a little further out of the snow. In deep snow, you'll enjoy less snow being carried back over the sides of the nose thanks to the Blunt Nose. This means you get the benefits of a longer traditional nose, without the extra weight. Traction Tech 3.0, the corrugated edge, ensures the best edge hold in all conditions.
Profile
The Directional Rocker consists of a camber between the legs and a larger rocker at the nose than at the tail. This keeps the board extremely manoeuvrable in pow and gives it additional buoyancy. The camber offers you good edge hold and fast power transmission. The slightly rockered tail increases power transmission and stability. The freeride-focused 3D Base Contour 1.0 comes with a balanced 2 mm upturn in nose and tail. The bending up of the base starts at the rocker.
Flex
The Solution's medium flex (5/10) gives you the perfect balance of playfulness and stability.
Construction
The FSC™ Classic Core is an all-wood premium poplar core, with pop, even flex and solid durability. The Biax fibreglass makes for a playful and snappy ride. The ECO-Plastic Topsheet is made from castor seeds. This biomaterial is extremely light, resistant to scratches and breaks, and water and snow repellent. Super Sap Bio Resin is plant-based and makes production a little more environmentally friendly. The sintered 8000 base is easy and quick to repair due to the UHMW-PE. The Quick Tension Tail offers a built-in system for mounting the climbing skins, the notches on the tail mean you no longer need tail clips to attach the skins.
Karakoram clips
The Solution Youth comes with Karakoram Ultra Clips. Stainless steel reinforcements are embedded in the nose and tail for increased tip resistance.

Snowboards are usually delivered ready-to-ride with a waxed base and sharpened edges. However, this so-called factory-tuning is not very durable and your new snowboard should be properly waxed after a few days and maintained on a regular basis.
