Absolut Park Flachauwinkl

The largest snowpark in Austria stretches over 1.5km in length and is divided into 7 areas. In Absolut Park Flachauwinkl the biggest snowboard legends come together to train and hang out. A professional shape crew takes care of the perfect set-up all year round and has made a lot of things possible again this year.

The Absolut Park has developed over the last 20 years not only into the largest snowpark in Austria, but also into one of the most famous snowparks in the world.

The entire park area extends over 1.5 km in length, is divided into seven sections and equipped with around 100+ different and varied obstacles. These are maintained daily by a professional shape crew to ensure perfect conditions.

Everyone, from beginners to professionals, is welcome at Absolut Park. Here you will find everything that will make your snowboarder heart beat faster. In addition, the famous Chill House at the end of the park invites you to relax and hang out. Here you will not only find a chill-out area but also a mini ramp! - The first of its kind on the mountain worldwide!

This winter, we can look forward to a very special anniversary on the Shuttleberg: the AbsolutPark is turning 25!

What started out as a ‘hobby’ of a few school friends has developed over the years into one of the most popular and innovative snow parks in the world.

Thanks to the commitment of Seppi Harml, his friends and his family, the first kickers were created at the Frauenalm lift (now the Powder Shuttle area) back in 1997:

‘Of course, it wasn't easy to establish a snowpark in a region full of successful ski racers. Some of the people in charge were characterised by classic ski racing and we needed a lot of patience and passion at the beginning. With the first snow groomer lessons that we received, we were able to build a small snow park in the winter of 97/98, which was still called a ‘boarder park’.’ says Seppi. ‘By the third season (1999/2000), after the move to the Hubertus lift (today's AbsolutPark site), the number of lift rides had already multiplied and the Absolut Park was born.’

Once established, there was no stopping the AbsolutPark: shortly after the turn of the millennium, the SpringBattle and the JibKing were the two most important events, followed by the ZSAEP Experience in 2010.

The company has also invested heavily in infrastructure time and again: Following the construction of the ChillHouse and the AbsolutShuttle in 2006, the area at the Powder Shuttle was developed for the ‘Stash’ TerrainPark in 2008. In 2012, the kicker line was raised to a whole new level through earthworks in summer. Finally, in 2016, the new storage pond above the MediumLine guaranteed snow reliability and a long season in the long term. On the Kleinarl side the park offer was expanded to include the CrossRun.

Of course, the best park is only as good as the numerous employees who plan, build and maintain it. Up to 15 shapers, snow groomer drivers and marketing staff work tirelessly to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
smooth operation. They receive constant input from the AbsolutPark freeski and snowboard team, which is made up of local and international professionals.

The AbsolutPark on the Shuttleberg is therefore ideally equipped for the next 25 years, for great sporting moments,
unforgettable hours and lots of fun in the park for riders of all abilities.

New ideas are already being planned for this season!

You can look forward to a new park line on the Lumberjack Shuttle, innovative event upgrades at JibKing, SpringBattle and the ZSAEP Experience as well as team weeks with our most important partners.

There will also be a special edition of the AbsolutPark collection, as well as exclusive ski, snowboard and goggle models from our partners.

You can also look forward to special obstacles such as a 25 metre Challenger Rail with lots of extra competitions
throughout the season.
As always, they will keep you up to date on absolutpark.com and on their social media channels.
