New city, same wrecking crew! After the success of the first two events in Innsbruck, Austria, it has been decided to take STRT JAM to one of the most iconic snowboard cities in the world – Helsinki! With a long heritage and DNA in street snowboarding Helsinki was an obvious choice to grow this event even further.
Strt Jam was rough, rowdy, and very much needed. Ethan and Chris from Method may have managed to push the reboot button of something that had become too boring, established, and official, and we all saw that people are ready for it. Nick Cave recently said that he doesn’t think art should be in the hands of the virtuous. I don’t think snowboarding should be either.

The third DIYX STRT JAM event showed two days of non-stop anarchy and chaos, bringing together a rowdy mix of seasoned street huckers, jib lords and true misfits of the Snowboarding scene. With two fresh locations and some savage setups on offer, Helsinki had something for everyone who was prepared to shake off their hangovers and risk it all for eternal STRT JAM glory!
