K2 FL3X – The new 3-piece boot

Welcome the new K2 FL3X line of freeski boots. A boot with a real freestyle character that offers you progression and comfort when shredding the park or backcountry. The ski boot line is constructed surrounding a three-piece shell. This can be adapted to your individual needs and riding style. If you enjoyed the Full Tilt boots, you’ll love this new addition to the K2 family.

K2 has been one of the top brands for skis and ski boots for several decades. Primarily as they aim to better their products and meet the needs of the community. With the start of the 22/23 season, K2 is launching the new FL3X line. The new boots of K2 FL3X are designed for freestyle-oriented riders, who want to have a boot supporting their actions. We from Blue Tomato think this is a great new brand after Full Tilt left the market in Spring 2022. Below you’ll find all the important information about K2 FL3X and the specific models.

Three-piece shell construction

The K2 FL3X line is built around its 3-piece shell construction of the outer boot. This provides you with the right mix of flex and support, but still prevents the deformation of the shell. The result is a lightweight ski boot that is perfectely adapted to your freestyle needs and on top of that is easy to put on and take off.

Key features of the liner

To improve the fit of the boot and ensure maximum control the K2 FL3X boot comes with a liner made from intuition cellular foam and features a J-Bar (an additional piece of foam that significantly improves the hold of your ankles in the shoe). Furthermore, it includes a Power Wrap liner that provides better power transmission and additional stability and comfort.

Options for Customization

The K2 FL3X line offers all normal varieties of customization. The full boot shell and the liner are heatable and can be adjusted to the individual foot.

You also have the option to further upgrade and personalise your boot. For example, by changing the tongue you can adjust to a softer tongue for park sessions and a harder one for shredding powder.

The K2 FL3X line is for the rider with a strong freestyle mentality. The boots have been designed with a forgiving yet controlled feel when shredding in the park or backcountry. If you previously rode the FT Classic or FT Drop Kick, the Revolver and Revolver Pro are the right choice for you. The Revolver Team / Team W and the Revolver TBL are the counterparts to the FT First Chair and the FT Tom Wallisch Pro. Find below the boots, and explore which fit would be best for you.

K2 FL3X Method

Method is also a park boot, as it focuses highly on comfort. The series include Method Pro and the classic Method. The construction of those shoes are based on the old FT Descendant series.
