To the World Rookie Finals you can qualify via the so-called “World Rookie Fests” (worldrookietour.com) and via the World Rookie Rank (worldrookietour.com/ranking). In addition to prizes such as professional film and photo shoots or freeride road trips, tickets to world-class events such as XGames, Audi Nines or fixed starting places in the FIS World Cup are awarded. This gives the youngsters the opportunity to establish themselves internationally and make the leap into professional sport. Roope Tonteri, Christian Haller and Sven Thorgren are just a few of today's pros who previously won the World Rookie Champion title.
Fun and education are two other major areas of the WRT philosophy. With workshops on various topics, the kids are not only encouraged in terms of sport, but also supported in their development to become responsible members of our society.
