In each cinema, the free Freeride Starter Workshops with the risk'n'fun trainers start two hours before the screening begins.

True to the motto: Lots of questions – Lots of answers, the risk’n’fun TEAM works with you and your shred buddies during the starter workshops on the most important topics around freeriding. In the two hours, you will get an insight into the world of risk’n’fun, expert inputs, and tips on topics such as reading avalanche reports, strategies in the terrain, or packing your backpack correctly.

The most exciting part of every workshop are the "special guests" who can give you a better insight, as they have experience and are happy to share their expertise with you. The athletes Matthias, Jakob Weger, Vali Werner Tutschku, or Tim Schröder are the respective guests who will participate in the workshops. Stay tuned!

From the workshop, you will then head directly to the cinema hall, and during each break, you will find the crew from Blue Tomato and risk'n'fun at the joint information booth, who will be happy to assist you with any questions.

It's just always a great season starter! The different films, all the athletes, and overall the whole vibe – combined with our risk'n'fun Freeride Starter Workshops, the time around the Freeride Film Festival is always the best start to winter for me!

We at Blue Tomato, a long-standing partner, highly recommend the Rider to Rider training sessions. We regularly participate in the risk'n'fun training program and prepare for situations based on the guiding principle of "perceive – assess – decide" in the mountains, as the topic of mountain safety is also highly valued in our office.

Here are two insightful comments from Blue Tomato employees who participated in the workshops and what they learned.

I have participated in a risk’n’fun workshop for the second time and, just like last time, I am completely thrilled. Through the workshops, I learned a lot about assessing risks off-piste and now feel much more confident making my own decisions. When you participate in such a workshop, you actually realize how ignorant you were before. For me, an absolute must for anyone who wants to venture off the beaten track.

Henrieke

The risk'n'fun workshop was a great and, above all, important experience. Even though you hopefully never need it, it became clear to me once again that you can never practice for an emergency too often. Knowledge of the correct interpretation of the avalanche report and the interpretation of signs on-site can save lives and is definitely easier when learned live from a professional - you can't call the risk'n'fun guides anything else.
