If you're standing on the rocky and steep shore of the white, powdery ocean and freeze your fingers off during the line-up check because you're only wearing board shorts, then you've understood the Bataleon Surfer. A few years ago, Bataleon made a surfboard modelled on a snowboard - today they do it the other way round. The Surfer brings a unique surf feeling directly from the beach to the powder. This season the Surfer comes with a brand new shape. The wide nose offers you even more float and fun in powder.
Riding style
The Surfer is a pure powder board. Steep untouched lines, high speeds and elbow-deep fresh snow are its favourite elements. But this board is so good, you can carve with it on the piste without problems.
Shape
The Surfer comes with Directional 3BT™, a Directional Shape with a Taper and Swallowtail. Setback provides additional pressure on the tail. SideKick™ tips increase edge uplift at the widest points of the nose and tail for even easier turn initiation, more float and better handling in difficult terrain.
Profile
Directional 3BT™ offers a relatively narrow centrebase and, in the case of the Thunder, slightly more edge lift at the nose than at the tail. Thanks to the enlarged surface, you can ride the board 5-10 cm shorter than usual. The medium camber allows for a lot of edge hold and carving fun despite mega float.
Flex
The Surfer has a medium-soft flex (4/10). The unique and powerful Directional 3BT™ shape allows you to ride a board in deep snow that is slightly softer than most pure powder boards.
Construction
The Super Ultra Light Woodcore is made of 80 % poplar wood and 20 % paulownia and is additionally reinforced with even lighter and stronger Triax fibreglass. This makes the board extremely stable and gives it powerful pop. Carbon reinforcements ensure the best power transmission and a biting ride. The triaxial fibreglass laminate makes for a strong, light and responsive board. The Dual Radial Super Tube Upgrade are hollow carbon tubes for extra power transmission at the edges. The sintered Nano Highspeed Base is fast and stays that way if you look after it.

Snowboards komen met een gewaxte base en geslepen kanten uit de fabriek. Je kunt er meteen mee boarden. Dit noemen we een "factory tuning". Deze tuning gaat niet heel lang mee en nieuwe snowboards moeten na een paar dagen weer goed gewaxt worden. Denk er aan om je board regelmatig te onderhouden.
