    Produktbeskrivelse

    The all-terrain, shred everything splitboard

The Explorer Splitboard is perfect for yo-yo’ing backcountry pow laps or a heavy huck session as the floaty, freeride nose is matched with a freestyle tail. You can hit backcountry jumps are as stylish as steep big mountain lines. No matter what, no matter where, the Explorer Split is there for you!

    Riding style
If you like fresh pow runs and backcountry freestyle, this might be the perfect board for you.

    Shape
The Explorer Split has a directional shape which increases float and stability at speed. Directional is the classic board shape, designed to be ridden with a slightly longer nose than tail to concentrate pop in the tail while still giving you plenty of float, flow, and control to rip any terrain or condition. In deep snow, the blunted nose makes sure that less snow comes over the sides of your nose, as that would naturally slow you down. This shape also means you get the benefits of a longer traditional nose, without the extra weight. Edges like a serrated knife slicing into the snow,  Traction Tech improves your edge grip by adding multiple contact points along the running length of your board. At the far ends of the progressive sidecut, the radius is incrementally increased as the edge reaches the contact point. Gradually increasing the sidecut radius towards the contact point delivers smoother turn initiation and exit as the edge tracks in and out of the snow with a less abrupt transition.

    Profile
The directional rocker profile has an under-foot camber with a larger rocker area in the nose than in the tail. The float of the rockered nose improves manoeuvrability while the camber underfoot provides edge hold and response. The slightly rockered tail maintains power and stability but helps to keep the tail catch-free when initiating turns and landing switch. The Quick Tension Tail features a built-in climbing skin tension system using pre-cut notch that eliminates the need for a traditional skin tail clip.

    Flex
Slightly less stiff than other Jones boards, the Explorer will feel just a bit more playful. While the medium-stiff flex still provides loads of response and liveliness.

    Construction
The Classic Core is a premium full wood poplar core that offers fun pop, even flex, and reliable durability. A dual-direction, dual-layer, stitched Biax fibreglass laminate provides a fun, forgiving and snappy ride. The ECO-Plastic Topsheet is made from Castor beans. This bio material is ultralight, chip/scratch resistant, and water/snow repellent. The Sintered 7000 Base is made out of a durable natural base material with added carbon for speed and good wax absorbency. All Jones boards are made with oversized recycled steel edges for added durability and improved production sustainability. The rubber edge dampening and ABS sidewall material is made of 100% recycled material. Jones boards are ready to shred straight out of the shop and are factory waxed with WEND natural wax as well as factory de-tuned at the tip and tail so you can go right from the shop to the mountain. By flip flopping the base graphic colour, P-Tex waste is drastically reduced by increasing the material yield. Jones Splitboards feature Karakoram K-clips plus tip and tail hooks. Adjustable tension K-clips increase board torsional stiffness. Stainless steel reinforcement plates are embedded into the nose and tail for improved board tip durability. The board also features the Quick Tension Tail, a built-in climbing system using a pre-cut notch that eliminates the need for a traditional skin tail clip.

This board is also available in 'Wide' version. These are wider than regular boards and developed especially for snowboarders with large feet (EU size 44+) to avoid too much overhang of the boots. Wider boards also give you better float in powder.
