Ride and Akomplice are launching an absolutely limited number of Psychocandy X Akomplice and we got hold of it for you. The board features the usual excellent Ride quality, while Akomplice contributes the topsheet design, drawing attention to the consequences of climate change. Many environmental aspects of snowboard manufacturing are not yet perfect, but it is getting better and better and Ride supports the Arhuaco people in Columbia with this limited edition to protect their land from deforestation. 

Statement von Ride:

About the psycho candy
The Psychocandy resembles Ride's Warpig in terms of handling, which has earned its place high up on the "fun list". The innovative shape allows you to ride the board 3 to 6 cm shorter than your regular board size. This creates an exceptional combination: manoeuvrability for the park, with the buoyancy of a much bigger board. The Psychocandy is perfect for riders who want to shred with one board in any terrain.

Riding style
All-Mountain Freestyle for advanced riders - you want to have fun all over the mountain? This board does it all, from kickers and rails in the park to deep powder in the backcountry.

Shape
The tapered directional shape is perfect for all-mountain and freeriding. The nose is slightly wider and longer than the tail for controlled turns in any terrain and more float in powder.

Profile
The Directional Zero Camber profile comes with a flat bias between the bindings, a big rocker in the nose and a smaller rocker in the tail. This makes the board turn easily, but it remains smooth at higher speeds. 

Flex
The medium flex makes the snowboard hard enough for powerful turns, but still soft enough for a playful ride.

Construction
The Women's Performance™ Core is made of aspen wood, bamboo and paulownia, for a perfect balance of weight and stability. The Slimewalls® sidewalls are incredibly strong and stretchy, absorbing impacts rather than just deflecting them. Double Impact Plates are added underneath each binding face to improve compressive strength and prevent the board from breaking. For more snap and ollie power, there are cross-shaped Carbon Array 5™ carbon strips in the binding area.
