With an adjustable flex, this snowboard boot is suited for all sorts of riding and can handle the whole mountain from the park to the backcountry.

Outer boot
The Flex Control System allows you to customize the stiffness of the tongue to your wishes. The removable, high-rebound Hytrel® tongue stiffeners enable riders to custom-tune their boot flex. Keep both in for maximum support, use just one for increased lateral or medial response, or take them both out for a softer-flexing boot. As your boots soften up over time, add the tongue stiffeners back in to extend the life of your boots. The V3 Ultimate Waffle represents Vans most progressive thinking in outsole technology. Loaded with features, it is found only on the top shelf product and offers the widest range of versatility. From stomping a big landing to side-hilling a hike (and even traction on your sled) you can count on the Ultimate Waffle.

Liner
The V3 UltraCush™ Liner represents pinnacle performance, support, and custom comfort. It features an asymmetrical adjustable and/or removable X-cage for precision heel hold, plus an arsenal of tech features engineered to over-deliver for even the most demanding riders. With the asymmetrical X-cage, your heel stays where it belongs—locked into the liner, keeping you in constant contact with your board. FlashDry fabric technology is engineered to act like a second skin, pushing moisture to the surface and eliminating it as fast as possible. These fabrics are engineered to repel and resist wetting out to help provide quick-drying performance that keeps the user dry and comfortable. Setting a new industry standard in moisture management and all-condition comfort, this technology has now been integrated into all of the newly redesigned Vans V3 UltraCush FlashDry liner. The Popcush Footbed features the tri-density Popcush construction and an OrthoLite® open-cell foam top layer. The TPU arch support heel clip provides stability while allowing torsional flex.

Lacing System
The Vans Hybrid Plus Boa Closure System merges traditional lacing with the power of Boa closure. The Hybrid Plus System expands the range of flex control from the original Hybrid Boa configuration by adding an extra Boa pass around the back of the boot and across the instep to optimize the lines of pull and maximize flex control capabilities.
